The Azande Kingdom has received a donation of school materials from well-wishers in Yambio, marking a significant step in strengthening education within the kingdom.

The Kingdom’s Education and Development Minister, (Nanyaki nga ga Wirikapai na pa Sonosa), Mrs. Christine Ngbaazande Joseph, officially presented the donated materials to Prince Tadeo Mario Sasa, the Prime Minister (Baira Abanyaki) of the Azande Kingdom.

The supplies will benefit Bakindo (King) Primary and Nursery School, an institution under the Azande Kingdom that began operations in early 2025 in Hai Bakindo, Yambio.

The donation reflects growing local support for the kingdom’s educational initiatives.

According to Mrs. Christine, her ministry is committed to expanding education and healthcare facilities at the kingdom’s new headquarters in Bazungua, where the Azande language will be introduced alongside formal education this year.

“We are calling upon the Azande community worldwide, the government, and development partners to support the kingdom’s education project,” said Mrs. Christine.

Meanwhile, His Majesty King Atoroba Peni Rikito Gbudue, in his address during the third anniversary of the Azande Kingdom’s restoration on February 9, 2025, emphasized the critical role of education in preserving Azande culture and documenting its rich history.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister of the Azande Kingdom, Prince Tadeo Mario Sasa, expressed gratitude for the contributions and praised the Education Minister’s in the Kingdom dedication.

“Education is the foundation of our kingdom’s future, and we deeply appreciate those who have supported this noble cause,” he said.

The donation serves as a stepping stone toward revitalizing education within the Azande Kingdom, fostering a generation equipped with both traditional knowledge and modern education.
