The caretaker Governor of Jonglei State, Moses Majok Gatluak Thou, has inspected deteriorating public infrastructure at Uror County Headquarters in Yuai, following the collapse of several administrative facilities.
During his visit, the governor inspected the County Commissioner’s office, Youth Centre and other public facilities that have fallen into disrepair, raising concerns about the condition of government infrastructure and the delivery of public services.
The inspection aimed to assess the state of public infrastructure and identify urgent rehabilitation needs in the county.
Uror County Commissioner, Hon. Peter Biel Lam Pech, who welcomed the governor, appealed to the Jonglei State Government and development partners to support the renovation of the county headquarters.
He said restoring the administrative facilities was important to strengthening local governance and ensuring effective service delivery to the people of Uror County.
The commissioner called for joint efforts between the state government and development partners to rehabilitate the damaged infrastructure.
