A 28-year-old man identified as Marial Mayom cut off his manhood after failing to get a girl to marry in Lakes State.

The State’s police spokesman, Major Elijah Mabor Makuac said that the incident happened on Monday when the man, who resides in Akuac, decided to cut off his male reproductive organ.

He said according to sources, the man had been suffering from mental sickness.

The police officer termed the act as attempted suicide.

The Medical Director of Rumbek State Hospital, Teran Madit Teran said the man had a very high trauma that led him to cut off his manhood.

“When I saw it, my immediate concern was just to stop the bleeding in the first place because he bled a lot, considering the distance and the duration when this thing happened.”

“He almost cut two-thirds of the penis and remaining only the area of the base. I just controlled the bleeding and we transfused him and now he is almost stable,” Madit explained.

According to the man, he decided to cut off his male organ because he had been living without a girlfriend.

“I cut my penis because I feel like no girl loves me,” he said.

“I have been trying to engage girls, but no one would like to love me.”
