South Sudan Vice President for Economic Cluster, Prof. James Wani Igga, joined the Community of Lo’bonok to commemorate the festivities in Morsak Boma.
In his Christmas message to the community, the Vice President encouraged the community to frequently visit their people to acquaint themselves with the cultural norms and strengthen their unity, adding that such visits familiarize people with the geographical features and names of streams, mountains, hills, and forests among other key elements that define the regions.
Prof. Igga emphasized on the significance of learning and practicing the local languages to ensure continuity of culture and heritage.
According to a statement from the Vice President’s press unit, Hon. Cirisio Zakaria Lado, the State Minister of Education and Instruction in Central Equatoria State, who doubles up as the Chairman of Lo’bonok Development and Cultural Association, promised to rehabilitate the destroyed schools in the area.
The Executive Chief Simon voiced the community needs for provision of clean and safe drinking water in the area, urging the government to deploy teachers in the area for children to realize a brighter future.
