In an effort to strengthen public service delivery, the acting Governor of Western Equatoria State, Daniel Bagdabu has unveiled a fully funded certificate training program for 18 State Government Directors from various ministries.

The training, in collaboration with Cambridge University and the University of Juba, will cover essential topics such as learning management, office management, communication, leadership, and horizontal management. Courses will be offered both online and in-person within the state, making them accessible to all participants.

Governor Badagbu highlighted that the program is part of a broader vision to enhance the professional capabilities of public officials.

 “This initiative is designed to equip our State Government Directors with essential skills and knowledge, enabling them to manage their offices effectively and enhance service delivery,” Governor Badagbu stated.

The Acting Governor also revealed plans to extend similar training opportunities to teachers across the state, reaffirming his commitment to capacity-building in the education sector.

Additionally, Governor Badagbu promised to ensure that all state ministries gain access to City Power, leveraging the existing infrastructure in Yambio to support efficient government operations.

The program is expected to empower government officials with practical expertise, fostering a more efficient and professional public administration system in Western Equatoria State.
