South Sudan Football Association has reappointed Victor Lual as the new secretary-general, taking over from outgoing John Anthony Lauro who has served for eight years.
The SSFA tweeted on Friday morning: ββThe SSFA has appointed Victor Lual as the Secretary-General replacing John Anthony Lauro who has served in the position for close to 8 years. We would like to thank Anthony for the 8 years and congratulate Victor and wish him well for the tasks ahead.ββ
Lual returns to the football body having served in the same capacity for close to a decade and representing South Sudan in various capacities.
For instance, he was picked as one of the eight assistant coordinators for the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.
In the same year, his predecessor Lauro was picked as match commissioner for the CECAFA tournament.
Laura will be credited for the establishment of the South Sudan Women National League that has entered halfway with Juba City Stars and Yei Join Stars looking destined for a two-horse race to the title.
