The South Sudanese MMA fighter, who many may have thought is an underdog, knocked out Oprea just with his first touch, into the ground.

Alhassan Mosala has started his campaign in Russia with an impressive debut after beating Romanian fighter Antonio Oprea.

According Alhasan’s coach Lofogo, the win was just but an introductory statement.

“The first fight was an introduction and statement all together. To debut your international fight by way of knock-out is something that all fighters would dream about,” said the impressed coach.

Lofogo said that Alhassan made his dream come to reality when he knocked-out his opponent within the first minute of the first round, having the whole Arena stunned with amazement.

The South Sudanese MMA fighter, who many may have thought is an underdog, knocked out Oprea just with his first touch, into the ground.

“No one was expecting this as the whole crowd went crazy. The second fight was technically composed,” Lofogo said, adding:

“We definitely sensed that team Italy was prepared to use all kinds of measures and means to neutralize Alhassan, which made it a very technical bout, a true sight for eyes.”

Alhassan as versatile as he is, had an answer to almost everything his opponent attempted to do, which made him to win by a unanimous decision.

The determination led by Alhassan is a living testimony of someone who wanted to succeed in the world stage.

If he wins the final match against Abdulatipov, the Russian MMA fighter, he will become the first locally trained fighter in the history of South Sudan to win in such a setting.
