Central Equatoria State Caretaker Governor Gen. Augustino Jadalla Kamilo Wani has urged young people to embrace entrepreneurship, agriculture and cooperation to strengthen economic growth and create opportunities across the state.

Speaking at a reception organized by Al Mangalawi Group of Companies in Juba on Friday, the governor said productive citizens and cooperation between the government and private sector is essential for economic development.

The reception, held at the Jubek Model Center under the theme “Collaboration for Service Delivery,” brought together state officials, business leaders and other stakeholders to celebrate Jadalla’s appointment and discuss ways to improve service delivery.

Governor Jadalla encouraged experienced businesspeople to share their knowledge with young entrepreneurs, saying mentorship and patience were important for success in business.

He also called on young people to venture into agriculture and learn from experienced professionals in business and farming.

The governor said economic empowerment was among his administration’s priorities and highlighted cooperative societies as a means of promoting development and unity among communities.

He said the state government would support mixed cooperative societies involving people from all counties and Wonduruba Administrative Payam.

Jadalla urged young people to learn from established business leaders, including Lado Lukak and Al Mangalawi, while calling on wealthy South Sudanese to share their experience and adopt modern business approaches.

He emphasized the importance of technology and innovation in strengthening businesses and creating sustainable economic opportunities.

The caretaker governor’s remarks highlighted the role of private sector investment and entrepreneurship in addressing unemployment and improving livelihoods in Central Equatoria State.

Meanwhile, Emmanuel Lado Swoka, Chief Executive Officer of Al Mangalawi Group of Companies, congratulated Jadalla on his appointment and pledged the company’s support for the state leadership.

Swoka described the governor as a competent leader with military and political experience who had contributed to the liberation struggle.

He said the group supported efforts aimed at achieving peace, credible elections and stability in the country.

Swoka also appealed to the state government to support South Sudanese businesspeople, allocate land for industrial areas and involve young people in economic development activities.

He encouraged local and foreign investors to continue creating employment opportunities and providing services to communities.

He stressed that peace and stability were necessary conditions for investment and business growth.

The Chairperson of the South Sudan Chamber of Commerce, Hon. Losidik Lado Lukak, also congratulated Jadalla on his appointment, describing him as humble, courageous and dedicated.

Lukak said the governor was well placed to lead the state towards elections, citing his track record.

He further emphasized the importance of supporting nationally owned companies to promote socioeconomic development.

Al Mangalawi Group of Companies operates in several sectors, including education, health, pharmaceuticals, infrastructure and real estate.

The reception provided a platform for government officials and business leaders to discuss cooperation in promoting investment, employment and service delivery.

The gathering also highlighted the need for stronger partnerships between the government and private sector to support peace, stability and economic development in Central Equatoria State.
