Exiting Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos dethroned SpaceX founder Elon Musk as the world’s richest man. Bezos bounced back to the summit of the billionaire list barely six weeks after Musk took the world by storm in the face of COVID-19 pandemic.
Musk slipped to second following a 2.4 per cent fall in the shares of Tesla, which made him lose $4.5 billion.

This enabled Bezos to overtake him by a small margin in the Bloomberg Billionaires Index ranking. Nonetheless, Bezos equally lost but just $375 million in the shortfall.
According to CNN, Bezos is currently worth $191 billion while Musk is worth $190 billion. Bill Gates still comes at a distant third in the list with $137 billion.
