A solitary goal by Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling ensured victory for high-flying Blues over struggling Arsenal at the Emirates on Sunday evening.

Sterling headed a fine cross from Riyad Mahrez from the right wing in the second minute of the game after forcing Bernd Leno to make a save near his post in the first few seconds.

Manchester City enjoyed a mammoth of ball possession as Kevin Be Bruyne pulled the strings in midfield to unlock the Arsenal defence but the Gunners stood firm.

Arsenal came into the game in the dying minutes of the second half but couldn’t be able to pull a leveler.

In the second half, the teams were evenly-matched in strength and the score remained 1-0 in favour of Manchester City. Pep Guardiola’s men have now gone on 18-game winning streak and have kept a clean sheet in 12 of those matches. They sit first in the table with 59 points followed by Leicester City and Manchester United who play Newcastle.
