The Tiger United FC women’s team have been crowned the champions of the Aweil South Sudan Women’s Cup (A-SSWC).

The Tigers beat Nar Lol FC 2-1 to claim their first-ever Aweil South Sudan Women’s Cup finals.

The two goals from Anger and Nyibol were enough for the winners to celebrate their victory over Nar Lol FC, who only managed to get one goal past the Tiger Utd goalkeeper.

Elsewhere in Torit, the finals ended on Saturday as Kuku Women FC of Torit were also crowned the winners of the Torit South Sudan Women Cup for the first time.

Kuku Women FC beat Liberty Women FC by 2-0 within 90 minutes of the game.

The Kuku Women FC of Torit and Tiger United FC women were the first teams to book their place in the South Sudan Women’s National Tournament, which is expected to be organised after finishing their local leagues.

Meanwhile, in Western Equatoria State, Rhino Women FC was through to the semifinals after demolishing Al Taharir Women FC 4 goals to nil.

They will now face Al Wehida Women FC in the semifinals of the Yambio South Sudan Women’s Cup.

All the other South Sudan women’s cups are ongoing in places like Yei, Benitu, Mundri, Rumbek Wau, and many more.
