The country’s COVID-19 cases have scaled up by 64 pulling the cumulative caseload to 9,554 in 121,504 total tests.
According to the data from the COVID-19 Incident Manager Dr Richard Lako, the past few days have presented a mixed bag of fortunes. The cases have intermittently increased and fortunately, there have been no fresh deaths lately. COVID-19 cumulative deaths are at 104.
The numbers of those who have recovered are 7,906. Three people are severely ill while two others are in critical condition at the IDU, the data indicate.
Currently, there are 1,545 active cases and 1,044 contacts on follow-up.
The country is currently on a partial lockdown after the ministry of health extended the restrictions on March 3 citing an increase in community transmissions.
