Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang grabbed a hat trick against Leeds United as Arsenal bounced back with a convincing 4-2 win over the promoted side.
Aubameyang scored an opener for the Gunners in the 13th minute of the game to get them off the mark. Mikel Arteta side pressed Leeds United as they showed the intention of seeing off the game.
Bukayo Saka saw his penalty appeal ruled out by the VAR but that was just for the moment. Within few minutes, the English forward got another penalty ruled in his favour allowing Aubameyang to step and increase Gunners’ lead.
Hector Bellerin Bellerin then received a through ball from Ceballos enabling him to move and fire a shot past Illan Meslier. It was 3-0 for Arsenal at the stroke of half-time.
Pascal Struijk and Helder Costa netted consolation for Leeds wrapping up a troubling evening for them.
Aubameyang now has 8 goals in 20 games and 200 across top five leagues in Europe. A win is a boost for Arsenal’s poor season but they remain lodged in 10th position in the table followed Leeds which has two less points and one more game to play.
