The Governor of Central Equatoria State Rabi Mujung Emmanuel and Head of League of Arab States Mission in South Sudan, Amb. Mohieldin Salim Ahmed met in Juba on Tuesday to discuss areas of cooperation

The two leaders discussed areas of mutual interest focused on collaboration, particularly in trade and investment.

‎Amb. Salim expressed the League’s readiness to work closely with the State Government to expand ties with Central Equatoria for sustainable development further conveyed a congratulatory message on behalf of the League.

On his part ,‎Governor Mujung reaffirmed his support for cooperation with the League to enhance economic cooperation and supporting development initiatives in Central Equatoria.

“Our doors are open for investors, and we welcome all viable opportunities in our State,” Mujung added.

The League of Arab States, also known as the Arab League, aims to strengthen relations and coordinate cooperation among its member states, while also safeguarding their independence and sovereignty. It focuses on political, economic, social, cultural, and scientific cooperation, as well as regional security concerns like dispute mediation and conflict resolution. 

The meeting could open up opportunities for unpacking key trading areas between the the state, which serves as the country’s commercial and political hub, and the Arab League.
