Prof. Logale said his leadership will focus on organizational reform and empowerment to prepare the party to face the upcoming general elections.
“Together, we shall strengthen the SPLM party and prepare it for all challenges that lie ahead,” he said.
“Comrades, today, I speak to you with clarity and conviction about what we must do together and what we can achieve as a unified, state-class, regional and nationwide movement.”
He pledged full commitment to the party’s vision and called for unity and action to secure the SPLM’s future success.
“I would like to begin by offering my deepest gratitude to the Almighty God for His enduring grace and guidance throughout my journey,” Logale said as he took office.
“I am profoundly grateful to the SPLM Chairman, Comrade Salva Kiir Mayardit, for the confidence and responsibility he has bestowed upon me by appointing me as the Secretary General of our party.”
Describing the assignment as both a privilege and a solemn duty, Prof. Logale stated, “I wholeheartedly accept this assignment and commit myself fully to the responsibility.”
The SPLM SG also paid tribute to the party’s founders, especially the late Dr. John Garang De Mabior, acknowledging that the SPLM’s journey had been shaped by the sacrifice of heroes and heroines.
“Our victory was not easy… and fully of this time, it has made heroes and heroines.”
Addressing the party’s future direction, Prof. Logale promised to lead a transformation within the Secretariat.
“I am committed to spearheading the political and administrative reorganization of the party to enhance performance and effectiveness.”
He referred to the SPLM Constitution, stating, “Our SPLM Constitution, Chapter 9, 24, 28, 1, as amended in 2016, clearly outlines the mandate of the Secretariat. I pledge work, integrity, decency and dedication.”
“This is not just a call for solidarity, but an invitation to participate in shaping the future of SPLM,” he declared. “Together, we can inspire a brighter future, make a meaningful difference.”
Highlighting youth and women’s involvement, he said it is time for the youth and women to act now, not tomorrow, urging them to join the party.
In his concluding remarks, Prof. Logale called for unity and discipline.
“I will not tolerate division in any of our structures. The SPLM Party of today will not stop until victory with the unity and commitment of individuals.”
“Let us stand united to move the party forward… and make SPLM great again.”
