The South Sudan National Bureau of Standards (SSNBS) has held a general meeting bringing together staff from all departments and levels, as part of efforts to strengthen internal communication, unity, and commitment to the institution’s mandate.
Chaired by Executive Director Hon. Oiylang Dominic, the gathering was attended by the Legal Advisor, Directors General, Directors, inspectors, technical and administrative personnel, as well as support staff including messengers and cleaners.
Organised as an open platform, the meeting allowed employees to share views, raise concerns, offer suggestions, and exchange work experiences directly with leadership. It was also meant to demonstrate management’s commitment to inclusiveness, transparency, and improved dialogue across the entire institution.
Addressing the gathering, Hon. Oiylang stressed that unity, teamwork, discipline, and collective responsibility are essential to advancing the bureau’s core functions — protecting public health, ensuring consumer safety, promoting fair trade, and enforcing compliance with national standards.
“The strength of this institution lies in how well we work together,” he said. “Every member of staff, regardless of role, plays a vital part in ensuring we deliver quality services and safeguard the welfare of our people and our economy.”
The bureau reaffirmed its commitment to building a motivated and inclusive workforce where every individual is valued, supported, and empowered to contribute effectively to national development.
Officials said such regular engagements will continue, noting that an informed and united team is key to raising standards and achieving SSNBS’s vision for the country.
