The Governor of Northern Bahr el Ghazal State, Simon Ober, has reaffirmed his commitment to developing the state’s infrastructure.
On Wednesday, the Governor inspected the ongoing rehabilitation of internal roads between Aweil Teachers Training Institute and NBGS University, linking Mathiang, Maper West and Rum-Akurdit residential areas.
The governor’s visit aimed to monitor the progress, address any issues and demonstrate his administration’s commitment to infrastructure development.
The road is expected to enhance connectivity and facilitate easy movement among the residents.
Governor Uber steered his focus on infrastructural projects over the past month, promising to address flooding and open up roads within the state.
In May, the governor inspected road rehabilitation works along the Aweil Town–Udhum route, specifically the Maluil-Akong section.
The maintenance work, part of the State Roads’ Rehabilitation Initiative launched in April, aims at enhancing road connectivity between Aweil Town and all county headquarters across the state.
