The Central Equatoria State Housing Authority/Corporation has presented updates to Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony on the development of a new Policy Framework designed to guide the institution’s operations, with the draft set to be tabled before the State Cabinet for deliberation and approval.

Led by the Authority’s Chairperson, Hon. James Yugu Gorbe, the management team briefed the Governor on progress made so far in formulating the policy, which aims to streamline service delivery, strengthen governance, and provide clear direction for the state’s housing sector.

Governor Adil welcomed the initiative and stressed the importance of teamwork and collaboration as the authority moves to implement reforms. He specifically encouraged the leadership to embrace Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) as a key strategy to expand housing projects, attract investment, and address the growing demand for affordable housing across the state.

“Our goal is to ensure that the housing sector grows in an organised, transparent, and inclusive manner. Working together and partnering with the private sector will unlock opportunities and help us deliver better services to our people,” the Governor said.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed preparations for an upcoming working visit by a delegation from the Federal Housing Corporation (FHC) of Ethiopia, expected in Juba to share experiences and explore areas of cooperation in housing development and urban planning.

The new Policy Framework, once approved by the Cabinet, is expected to provide a legal and administrative foundation for sustainable growth, regulation, and modernisation of housing delivery in Central Equatoria State.
