Governor Jadalla encouraged the primary eight candidates to study hard and wished them success in their final examinations

On Friday, Central Equatoria State Governor, Augustino Jadalla, accompanied by his Deputy, Paulino Lukudu, visited primary school examination centers across Juba to inspect and assess the progress of the pupils sitting for their Certificate of Primary Education (CPE).

The centers visited by the Governor includes Juba One Primary School, Malakia Primary School, Atlabara West Primary School, Gudele East 1 & 2 Primary School and Gudele West Primary School.

According to a statement released by the Governor’s press unit, the Central Equatoria State leader encouraged the primary eight candidates to study hard and wished them success in their final examinations. He also commended the teachers and stakeholders for their commitment in ensuring facilitation of the examinations.

Speaking to the media after the inspection, Hon. Cirisio Zacharia Lado, the State Minister of General Education and Instructions said that the situation at examination centers has been calm and safe. The Minister added that the visit of Governor and his delegation portrays the State’s government commitment in ensuring the well-being of candidates and teachers at the exam’s centers.

“Many people thought that the pupils would not sit for their final examinations today but it is proven wrong by today’s visit because the security is stable. We have found that all pupils and teachers are safe. We have so far visited five schools and the pupils have sat for their exams with all the staff very safe in the centers,” Hon. Zacharia.

Hon. Emmanuel Tete Ezbon, the Commissioner of Juba County was in the Governor’s delegation. He added that the visit also assessed the security situation in Juba following gunshots last night that left the public in panic. Hon. Tete urged the public to continue with their normal activities and businesses to open.

“We want to assure every citizen in Juba County that the security is stable and organized forces are doing their work in protecting everyone. In such a situation, if any person tries to intimidate or loot anything, report to any security authorities and when you see any deployment of security organs on streets, know that it is for keeping the safety of everyone. No one should fear,” said Hon. Tete.

On her part, Aisha Phillip Taban, the Chief Invigilator of Gudele West Primary School appreciated the Governor and the accompanying delegation for visiting the center.

“This Center is big and it has 716 candidates from 16 primary schools and the exams are going well. Despite the large number of candidates, we did not face many challenges,” said Aisha.
