The Vice President for the Economic Cluster, Dr. Benjamin Bol Mel has ordered 15 non-compliant revenue collection agencies to immediately remit collected funds to the Ministry of Finance and Planning block account.

The circular from the Vice President and Chairperson of the Economic Cluster directed all revenue-collecting agencies to fully remit their collections.

“All revenues collected by revenue-collecting agencies must be fully remitted to the Block Account of the Ministry of Finance and Planning without any deductions,” the circular read.

The letter also directed the Ministry of Finance and Planning to allocate 5% of the total collection of each agency for the operation of the revenue-collecting agency in accordance with Cabinet Resolution No. 16/2020 of 13″ October 2020.

“This directive is non-negotiable and takes effect from 24 February 2025.”

The list of revenue-collecting agencies that are non-compliant to the Revenue Authority include: South Sudan Urban Water Corporation, Relief and Rehabilitation, Judiciary of South Sudan, Ministry of General Education, South Sudan National Civil Defense, Ministry of Land and Housing, Juba Teaching Hospital, South Sudan Media Authority, South Sudan Road Authority, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Finance and Planning, South Sudan Electricity Authority, South Sudan Prison Services, Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Ministry of Wildlife Conservation and Tourism

However, the government listed the partially complying revenue collecting agencies, which include: Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Development, the National Communication Authority, the Ministry of Trade and Industry (HORS), South Sudan Civil Aviation Authority, Directorate of Civil Registry, National Passport, and Immigration Directorate of Traffic Police and lastly the Ministry of Petroleum.
