Authorities in Kapoeta East County of Eastern Equatoria State said many suspected raiders from the Pibor Administrative Area have perished during cattle raids in the area.
In an interview with The City Review on Wednesday, the Kapoeta East County Commissioner, Abdallah Angelo Lokeno, said the attempted cattle raid in the area that took on February 14 to 18, left several raiders killed.
“These people have encountered losses badly,” he said.
According to him, about 15 people from the area had been killed by the attackers.
He said the previous attacks on the area by the suspected Murle raiders prepped the local youth on handling invaders
Efforts to reach the Greater Pibor Administrative Area authorities for comment were futile by the press time.
