Renowned artist J Rock has released a hit song titled ‘Raan Kan’ in Dinka dialect that loosely means “That’s the person,” which he says “refers to the person behind his failure.”
J Rock who has been in music for about 12 years, said he tried many ways to lift himself, but nothing seemed to work out.
He claimed that there were people who did not want him to progress and were making him superstitious that someone was orchestrating his downfall.
“I composed this song to share with people what I was going through. I have been in the music industry for over 12 years, but nothing has benefitted me financially. So, I decided to share my story. And I know this is something that everyone goes through, “J Rock stressed.
“Everyone has an enemy who wishes him or her failure and sorrow.”
J Rock said his new song was a fulfilment of the promise, saying he had promised his fans that he would produce a song in early 2022.
“Raan Kan “has now caught the attention of the public as it trends on social media platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp groups, among others.
A lot of fans are wearing Raan Kan T-shirts on the streets, taking pictures, and recording short video clips to support the artist.
That song has been sung in a Nigerian Afrobeat style, is catchy, compelling as it looks promising to reward the artist commercially.
J. Rock stated that he has no beef with anyone, but he is perplexed as to why his plans do not work.
“If I try to go ahead, it is hard, and also going back, nothing is good.”
J rock said his song calls upon God to see any enemy of progress, those who rejoice when others fail and those who are happy when they see others in sorrow.
“They don’t support, they don’t compliment or encourage, and they only wait for a failure to laugh at people, which seems to make them happy because they feel good by doing such.”
“Almighty God in Heaven, [here is] the person who is destroying my things, who hates me, and who does not want me to progress,” the song chorus says.
“When I released this song in early 2022, it went viral both online and on the streets. Everyone was asking for the song and the T-shirt. I felt happy and now I thank God for answering my prayers through the song, which is now becoming a hit country-wide and abroad, “J Rock said.
However, the artist admitted that in life, everyone seems to be in the same scenario, especially in music, studies, business, leadership, and relationships; some people are always against the happiness and success of others.
Such people are the dream killers, so one has to pray to God to help him or her out of such hardships.
He said many of his old and new fans from across the globe have been requesting the song, saying after uploading it on YouTube, they were able to watch the video.
J Rock said the song is also accessible on other social media platforms such as Soundcloud and Reverbnation.
“My fans are supporting me everywhere, I am glad to them. This is how people raise their stars. I felt the love and it gave me the morale to put more effort into my music,” J Rock” said.
The song has gone viral in the country. Friends, fans, and relatives are requesting the audio, video, and T-shirt of Raan Kan. It shows that the song is emotionally connected to the life of struggle.
“The song is hitting. Fans everywhere need it and also want to wear a T-shirt. So, those in need of a Raan Kan T-shirt can make an order, even if far away,’’ he said.
J Rock and his management are planning to have the Raan Kan song launch in April 2022, he is expected to feature South Sudanese superstars.
He also said he was booked to go and perform outside the country in Kenya, Uganda, and Sudan. When he comes back home, he will throw a big concert for the official launch of Raan Kan.
