The newly established Bentiu University of Petroleum in Unity State has announced admission for students from the 2023 and 2024 academic batches

The institution is offering programmes in Petroleum Engineering, Computer Science, Environmental Studies and Management, according to university officials.

Bentiu University Coordinator, Kel Malual Latjor said the establishment of the institution was part of government’s effort to expand access to higher education across the country.

He added that Bentiu has been designated as an admissions centre by the Ministry of Higher Education this year.

Malual urged students to collect application forms at the university’s main campus in Bentiu town.

He added that the forms also allow applications to other public institutions, including the University of Juba, Upper Nile University and the University of Bahr el Ghazal.

“Bentiu has been made a centre for admissions this year, and people in Unity State are very excited about the opening of the university,” Malual said.

“We are encouraging students from the 2023/2024 intake to come and collect the forms here,” he explained.
