The country’s COVID-19 cases have scaled up by 133 pulling the cumulative caseload to 9,092 in 117, 756 total tests.

According to data from the COVID-19 Incident Manager Dr Richard Lako, the past few days have presented a mixed bag of fortunes. The cases have intermittently increased and fortunately, there have been no fresh deaths for close to a week. COVID-19 cumulative deaths are at 102.

However, there have been low recoveries with the number stagnating at 5,914 for a couple of days now. Six people are severely ill while two others are in critical condition at the IDU, the data indicate.

Currently, there are 3,076 active cases and 866 contacts on follow-up.

The country is currently on a partial lockdown after the ministry of health extended the restrictions on March 3 citing an increase in community transmissions.
