Renowned advocate Kamal John Nyeart Akol, on Saturday afternoon submitted his application and nomination letter for the position of South Sudan Football Federation (SSFF) President at the headquarters of the federation.
Adv. Kamal, currently serving as the President of Munuki Football Club in Juba, is keen on breathing some fresh air to South Sudan football. He is credited for founding the South Sudan Athletics Federation and South Sudan Olympic Committee, sport initiatives that have peeked his experience in football administration and management.
A long list of candidates have so far lined up for the top prize, but the prominent lawyer is building his case with a watertight resume.
Rallying under the mantra ‘Better Plan for the Future’, Kamal is presenting three pillars to the public, which, he says, will be his focal areas if he clinches the Federation presidency.
These include: Unity, Peace and Development; Women’s Football Empowerment and; Diplomacy and Relationship Building.
With many aspirants having shown interest to unseat the current President Gen. Augustino Maduok, it remains to be seen who will pile a portfolio strong enough to pull through a successful greenlight.
The racing shot is soon sounding, the most suitable will ultimately be enlisted.
