South Sudan Football Federation Presidential hopeful, Teng Deng has refuted claims questioning his legibility to run for the Federation presidency.

This came after viral information circulated on social media that the candidate failed to garner the required number of signatures from four football Associations to qualify for the competition.

However, speaking to the media, Teng urged the public to treat the information as false.

” As I said earlier, media is an import tool in this day and age. Any media can publish what they want. Official and verifiable information will come from my media team sharing through all my media handles,” he said.

According to his resume, Teng has amassed 15 years experience in the football world, some of which were gained from respectable premier league clubs such as Arsenal, Fulham, Tottenham and Chicago fire, either playing or coaching at various levels.

Speaking to The City Review Sports Desk, Teng revealed that he successfully submitted the required documents and will compete against the other opponents.

So far two candidates and the incumbent President of SSFF Gen. Agustino Maduot have thrown their weight for the position.

Gen. Maduot will be seeking a second term in office.
