The Office of the Vice President for Services Cluster Hussein Abdelbagi has announced the death of Mr. Moses Agany Deng Alok, the Deputy Director for Protocol in the Office of the Vice President, following a fatal road traffic accident in Northern Bahr el Ghazal State.

In a press statement issued on Wednesday, the Office of the Vice President said Mr. Agany died in a tragic traffic accident that occurred on the morning of June 3 in Malual Khon, Aweil East County.

According to the statement, Mr. Agany was driving from Amerjal Village to Wanyjok, the headquarters of Aweil East County, when the accident occurred. Authorities have not yet released further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The statement noted that upon receiving news of the fatal accident, the Vice President immediately directed security personnel and staff members to investigate the incident and establish the circumstances that led to Mr. Agany’s death.

“The details leading to his death will be shared with the family members of Mr. Moses Agany and mourners in due time,” the statement said,

The Office described Mr. Agany as a dedicated and loyal public servant who had worked in the Office of the Vice President for six years. His death was characterized as a significant loss to both the institution and his colleagues.

“The Vice President and staff are deeply saddened by this tragic loss of Mr. Agany, who has been serving diligently and loyally in the Office for six years,” the statement said.

The Office further extended its condolences to Mr. Agany’s family, relatives, friends, colleagues, and members of the public affected by the loss.

“The Vice President and the entire Office extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, relatives, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time,” the statement added.

Mr. Agany’s death comes as a shock to colleagues and associates within government circles, where he was known for his role in coordinating official protocol activities within the Office of the Vice President. No information regarding funeral arrangements has yet been released.
